The common name is Stinkpot or Common Musk Turtle, Sternotherus odoratus, because when they are disturbed they tend to give off a scent similar to a skunk's "perfume". Awwww! Look at the Baby!
Today we were conducting a little pond exploration and found the cutest little baby turtle.
